Slopes on holes 1, 4 and 5 pull the ball sideways or back — aim to the high side. On holes 2, 3 and 6 a bank cut across the corner turns the ball through a right angle. A fence with a gap blocks hole 8; find the gap before you think about the cup. A bowl around the cup on holes 3, 4, 8 and 9 draws gentle putts in. A hill around the cup on hole 7 throws slow balls away; putt firmly at the centre.
